Colorado Preparatory Academy to Celebrate Class of 2017 on June 2

Statewide Online School to Hold In-Person Graduation Ceremony

Preparatory Academy
(CPA), an accredited, full-time online public
school, will hold an in-person graduation ceremony to celebrate the
Class of 2017 on Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at the Kenneth King Academic
and Performing Arts Center in Denver.

Thirty-nine high school seniors will graduate from CPA, which serves
students statewide in kindergarten through 12th grade. The school
specializes in programs designed specifically for advanced learners.
College-minded students can choose from a broad range of courses in
order to gain a competitive edge for the future and discover their path
after high school.

CPA also gives students the opportunity to earn college credit while
still in high school and offers a post-secondary preparedness program
that ensures students attending the school are prepared for college.

“This graduating class is a motivated and passionate group,” said Nicole
Tiley, head of school at Colorado Preparatory Academy. “We are so
excited to celebrate with them today and can’t wait to see what their
futures hold.”

Anigha Collins is CPA’s Class of 2017 valedictorian, and Cailey Nagel is
the salutatorian. Dr. Becky Takeda Tinker, president of Colorado State
University-Global Campus, will deliver remarks to the graduating class,
and CPA teachers and staff will be in attendance to recognize the
students’ achievements.

The Class of 2017 has been offered $28,000 in college scholarships. The
graduates report that they have been accepted to colleges and
universities across the region, including University of Colorado,
University of Northern Colorado, University of Colorado-Colorado
Springs, Metro State University, Rocky Mountain College of Art and
Design, Community College of Denver, Laramie County Community College,
Pikes Peak Community College, Community College of Aurora, Front Range
