NWFCU Foundation Raises over $70K for Scholarships at 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

, the charitable arm of Northwest
Federal Credit Union
, held its second annual Drive for the Driven
golf tournament on May 22, 2017. The money raised from the event will
benefit the NWFCU
Foundation Scholarship Fund
, which awards college scholarships to
members and non-members alike.

“On behalf of the Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation, I am proud
to report that this year’s tournament netted over $70K to support our
scholarship program,” said Executive Director of the NWFCU Foundation,
Alexzandra Shade. “I am pleased to share the growth and success of this
tournament – 132 player participants, 60% new corporate sponsors, cash
prizes, a silent auction, and a lot more fun and surprises awaited each
golfer. It’s truly amazing to think that we are only two years into this
tournament and people are already requesting the date for next year’s

Golfers hit the links at the Chantilly National Golf and Country Club in
Centreville, Va., enjoying a day of golf followed by lunch, courtesy of
corporate sponsors who donated generously to the cause.
